No license? No problem. Take control and explore the coastline at your own pace. We’ll show you how — you’ll take it from there.

Find us in Firiplaka beach, Milos Island! You can rent a 4.5 meter speedboat with 30hp and become your own captain for one day! 

Visit Kleftiko (40 minutes away), Tsigrado (10 min away) and all South Milos by yourself!

NO license required (basic understanding of boat operation and sea conditions is needed)

IMPORTANT: Please consider booking your boat in the first days of your vacation in Milos. During summer there may be days with strong winds, which obligate us to move the bookings for another date. If you book the boat for your last day, you leave no room for changes.

What to expect

• Meeting point is the first white house on the beach (there are two!)
• Please do not be late as the appointments are very strictly scheduled so that everybody gets the most out of their day. The return time will remain the same, even if you arrive late at the beach.
• When you arrive you are greeted by Jacob and Igli. They will check your documents before taking you to your boat.
• Before the boat rental, a brief introduction takes place, also a brief sea trial so you can try the boat before leaving.
• You start your boat day!
• At the agreed time you return at Firiplaka beach. We help you out of the boat, and check the integrity of the boat and the fuel consumed, and let you know of the fuel cost.
• That's it! You are greeted goodbye and go on to new adventures in Milos island :)

General terms

• You rent the boat without captain.
• Basic understanding of boat operation and sea conditions required.
  
• Max group size: 4 people per boat.
• No rental below 21 years of age.
• Renter has to have at least intermediate knowledge either of Greek or English, in order to be able to understand the instructions given or communicate effectively in an emergency.
• All passengers must know how to swim.
• Children must wear life vests at all times during rental period.
• A moderate fitness level is required to go up and down the boat ladder in order to access the water.
• Firiplaka beach is a natural landscape with no manmade docks. Access to the boat may require walking into water or on rocks, so basic ability to keep one’s balance is required.
• The activity of renting a small boat is not suitable for pregnant women.

Insurance

Boats are insured for third-party liability. However, the renter is primarily responsible for any damage or loss to the boat and its equipment. In such cases, the renter must pay the excess amount in full or in part, depending on the nature of the damage or loss. The renter is also accountable for the actions of all members of their party.

Security Deposit

In order to rent a boat, the amount of €450 has to be reserved as security deposit.

In case the reservation cannot happen because of an issue with your card deposit, then the rental may be cancelled. Cash is not an acceptable form of deposit.

Safety - Please read:

• In case the owner or the qualified person assigned by the owner judges that it is unsafe for the renter to rent a boat, then the owner has the right to cancel the reservation (reckless behavior, inability to comprehend the rules, insufficient experience of boating, etc.).
• The boats are fully equipped with all legally required equipment, life vests, fire extinguisher, etc.
• There is a GPS tracking system which allows us to know the exact location of the boat at all times.
• The renter is obliged to bring a mobile phone with them, fully charged, with a working connection to the internet, or at least with a working cellular connection. Renter is obliged to have this phone by/near them at all times in case of need to contact them.
• The activity of renting a small boat is not suitable for pregnant women.

Weather conditions

Usually during summer most of the days the wind is North, and this means that the southern part where Firiplaka, Kleftiko and Tsigrado are, is protected. But there is also the possibility of south winds! In this case the waves tend to be unpredictable in terms of height and direction, as the microclimate of Firiplaka beach is very special.

In case the Firiplaka Boat Rental team decides that the weather conditions at Firiplaka beach and/or the south coast of Milos island are not suitable for rental, then we have the authority and obligation to cancel or change the reservation upon availability. This decision can be made even in the same day of rental. 

Cancellation Policy

• In the event of boat rental cancellation by the client for any reason in less than 7 days before the rental date, there is a cancellation fee of 100% of the total price. In the event of boat rental cancellation by the client in more than 7 days before the rental date, the whole amount will be refunded (5% processing fees apply).
• In case the weather conditions (as described above) obligate us to change the reservation, the client will be provided with alternative dates. In case the client decides to cancel the reservation, the whole amount will be refunded (5% processing fees apply). This decision can be made even in the same day of rental.
• In case of cancellation by Firiplaka Boat Rental, the entire amount of the charter will be refunded.
• Should client not appear on the boat rental day, Firiplaka Boat Rental is entitled to retain the full amount of the rental.
